The Sarah Frye Home, established in 1903, follows two philosophies: truly treat one another as though we are family and make sure that our home is your home. By partnering with our residents and their families, we work to promote individual preferences, wellness and independence. The longevity of employees exemplifies our commitment not only to our residents but also one another.
The Sarah Frye Home is a facility licensed by the State of Maine Department of Human Health Services and is operated by a Board of Trustees as a non-profit, tax exempt corporation. Originally it was home to five women, and now serves thirty six men and women.
Above and beyond our spacious, welcoming, and safe living environment, we offer many amenities such as private entrances, transportation to local medical appointments, a beauty salon, internet access and a resident-driven activities program. What we want to stress most about the Sarah Frye Home is our commitment to creating a home for each resident through our knowledgeable and caring staff. Our employees are educated in the needs of each resident to ensure that their 24-hour care is accommodating and the best possible care we can offer.
