With Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, not everyone needs the same level of support. HighPointe provides a specialized program for assisted living residents with mild memory loss or confusion as an alternative to our more advanced memory care program. This transitional program addresses short-term memory loss by giving residents positive, effective care and multiple levels of support that allows an individual to maintain dignity and a level of self-confidence.
Memory care is a specialized type of care that provides a calm structure to each day and targets specific needs of those with Alzheimer’s and various types and levels of dementia. Our caring and specially trained staff works with our residents and their families to focus on knowing a resident’s wants, needs and preferences based on their life story. Understanding the residents’ past experiences and preferences as well as their physical and behavioral needs, allow us to provide for their needs at every stage of their memory loss.
