Allen Temple Manor is the third phase of the Allen Temple Arms senior’s residence community, designed to enable very low income elderly to live in a high quality environment with dignity and independence. In 1995 Allen Temple Housing Corporation received a $3.99 million allocation from The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to build Allen Temple Manor. In 1996 Allen Temple Housing Corporation received $1.1 million from the City of Oakland to develop this property. The property officially opened its doors for residents in 2002.
