Sentara Village - Norfolk At Sentara Villages, older adults will enjoy comfortable, private and semi-private accommodations, social activities and the companionship of good friends in a cheerful home-like setting. The Sentara Village at Norfolk is a 96-unit assisted living facility that offers assisted living care. The facility has a 5-bed dementia care unit that opened in 2007. The dementia care unit is the only Department of Medical Assistance Services approved Alzheimer's waiver unit in Southeast Virginia. We offer our residents a vibrant and independent lifestyle along with medical assistance to meet individual needs. The facility provides quality resident centered assisted living care with LPN's on staff 24 hours a day. The facility staff are compassionate, respectful, dedicated, and well trained in meeting the individualized care needs of our residents. The facility also offers specialized activities for both traditional and memory impaired assisted living residents that is coordinated by an activities director that has completed the Department of Social Services approved Assisted Living Specific Activities Director Certification Course. Our dining services offer restaurant style dining to include buffets. The facilities enclosed courtyard allows residents to enjoy nature in a safe and secure environment. Because each Sentara Village shares its campus with a Sentara Nursing Center, a resident's future need for higher levels of nursing care will not thrust families into the dilemma of searching for another facility.
