River’s Edge River’s Edge is Hank Fisher Properties’ premier independent living community for seniors. Located in the desirable Campus Commons neighborhood, River’s Edge is near California State University, Sacramento, the Campus Commons Golf Course and the American River walking trails. It offers a wealth of services and amenities to ensure easy living for the nearly 100 residents who call it home. Nearly 30 years ago when Hank Fisher was building his first retirement community in Sacramento, he had a very personal reason for making it special; his Aunt Edith was moving in. He and his wife, Nancy, knew Edith would expect every aspect of “her new home” to be first rate. So they paid close attention to the building, grounds, furnishings, services, amenities, and they took great care to put together a staff that shared their desire to improve residents’ quality of life. They were glad they went the extra mile because Edith loved her home and, as time went on, Hank’s mother, Ruth, also called River’s Edge home. The tradition of quality continues to this day.
