Emeritus at Woodward Estates Emeritus at Woodward Estates offers a total of 80 senior apartments, including studios, deluxe studios and one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. For residents who either don’t want to live alone or who wish to save on rent, we also offer friendship suites, in which two residents share an apartment. All senior apartments include one or two full baths, kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave, blinds and wall-to-wall carpeting. Residents can decorate their apartments however they’d like, and can bring in their own furniture. We also offer fully furnished apartments. Internet service is available and all apartments are individually climate-controlled and completely maintenance free, inside and out. What about pets? We always welcome small pets and treat them just like members of our family! On the first floor of our building, we offer several common areas, including our spacious dining room, where residents enjoy their meals; a library for reading and relaxation; our “country kitchen,” where we hold cooking classes; a living room with television and cozy fireplace; an activities room, where residents can often be seen playing Scrabble; and our Triple Crown Pub, the perfect spot for happy hour. Off the dining room is a spacious gated courtyard for sun, leisure and cookouts, as well as many sidewalks for folks who love to walk outdoors. The second floor features a gym, with a variety of exercise equipment―available anytime, day or night―for our fitness conscious residents. The gym is also used by our partner, Genesis Rehabilitation, which provides onsite physical, occupational and speech therapy. In addition, another spacious living room, balcony with all kinds of beautiful houseplants cared for by our own residents, and the famous Belair Room, where residents never miss their twice-weekly Bingo games, are located on the second floor. Should residents not be able to walk up and down our spiral staircase located in the center of the building, we have two elevators on each side of the community.
